Arnela is Galicia’s westernmost beach. One of its major attractions is that during the summer the sun does not set until 10 pm.
It is a small, white sand beach, about 1 150 feet long, set in a rural environment and characterized the surrounding 426-feet high cliffs. This secluded beach is a real haven of tranquility.
Because of Arnela’s location, the wind usually blows hard and therefore, waves are strong and plentiful. Sea currents make it unsuitable for bathing. Note that there are no rescue services there, so caution is advised.
To get there, go to the parish of San Vicenzo de Duio, located south of Finisterre.
